Locals Get Ready For Regal Royal Wedding
MARBLEHEAD (CBS) -- Although the royal wedding is happening thousands of miles away, millions of people in the U.S. will be tuning in so they don't miss a second. Some royal watchers are even going to great lengths to have an authentic celebration.
Lynda Hare of Marblehead ordered special party favors and napkins from Kate Middleton's family's company.
She will be hosting a royal wedding watching party Friday morning, even though many of her friends told her they "don't do 5 a.m."
WBZ-TV's Sera Congi reports.
Hare's husband served the queen as ambassador to Cuba.
Her guests may be dressed in pajamas, but she anticipates many hats. And there will be rules to follow.
"This is not a cocktail party. We are attending the service. We will act in a regal way. We'll sit and listen and watch," she said.
She says while there's so much bad news in the world, she's happy to celebrate this day.
