Local Tech Companies Decide To Stay And Grow In Mass.
BOSTON (CBS) - Software company Aveksa, and Digital Lumens, a developer of high-end LED lighting systems, say they need more space.
Aveksa CEO Vick Viren Vaishnavi tells me his company is roughly doubling its capacity and moving about a quarter-mile up Wyman Street in Waltham. Vaishnavi says this will mean more jobs, in all departments.

Vaishnavi says the company designs "user access technology" that closely manages user access to digital information automatically, restricting data breaches and unauthorized access.
Aveksa's largest customers include Deutsche Bank and Cigna.
Digital Lumens, meantime, has expanded into Boston's Innovation District. The company is relocating into 16,000 square feet of space on Congress Street, from its former location in the West End, near the TD Garden.
Digital Lumens President and CEO Tom Pincince tells me his company moved into Boston with just five people in 2008. They now have more than 50 employees. Pincince says he expects that growth to continue. He says we will see a revolution in lighting over the next decade.
Digital Lumens has raised about $25 million in venture capital.
