Local Police Convoy Heads To Virginia To Deliver Cards To Boy Fighting Cancer
BOSTON (CBS) - If you saw a massive police convoy on a local highway Wednesday morning, it's for a good cause.
About 250 officers from all over New England gathered at the Burlington Mall before sunrise to take part in a ride to Virginia.
They went as a group to visit six-year-old Nathan Norman, a young boy in Rustburg, Virginia who is fighting brain cancer.
Nathan's Christmas wish is to receive cards from police and fire departments.
The officers are not only granting his wish, they're taking it one step further by the delivering the cards to Nathan and his family in person.
You can track the officers' journey by following the Burlington Police on Twitter.
