Local Gasoline Prices Inch Closer To $3 A Gallon
BOSTON (CBS) - Local gasoline prices continue to go higher, but at least on expert thinks we may have reached a plateau.
Mary McGuire of AAA of Southern New England says this week's four cent increase to $2.92 a gallon could be a milestone. She said oil prices have fallen back a bit, and supply could expand as refineries that have been off line for maintanence resume production.

This week's current price is five cents above the national average of $2.87. The range of prices at stations through the area is fairly wide at 30 cents; the lowest price is $2.79 and the highest is $3.09
AAA suggests that consumers look for prices in the low $2.80's.
