Meg Theriault, 21, remains in critical condition in the intensive care unit at a New Zealand hospital.
Members of her family are watching and waiting, hoping for good news about Theriault.
Theriault's aunt, Toni Grande, knows her niece well.
"She was due to come home on Friday, sent her mom some flowers on Mother's Day, and they were gonna celebrate Mother's Day when she got home," said Grande.
Grande says the family is hopeful, but it's been tough.
"Just kind of hanging, waiting, praying and praying and praying," said Grande. "She's a strong girl. She will come home."
Daniela Lekhno, Roch Jauberty, and Austin Brashears were all killed in the crash. Five others, including Theriault, were injured.
A vigil was held at a campus plaza on Saturday night.
