Local Couple Welcomes Daughter On 11-12-13
BOSTON (CBS) --- Any day a baby is born is special, but for a baby born Tuesday, on 11/12/13, maybe just a little more so.
"This is Hazel Mary Viens, born 11/12/13 at 9:40 in the morning. She's very special to us so we're happy that she gets a special day to be born on," says Hazel's mom Diana Viens.
For Diana and husband Brian, any day would have been fine to welcome Hazel into the world.
"Twenty-one inches long and 9 pounds, 12 ounces," says Brian.
But to have a sequential birthday is extra special.
"I just thought it would be cool to have numbers like that," Brian says.
Hazel was born one day before the due date.
"My mother-in-law called me yesterday and said you have to have this baby tomorrow because it's 11/12/13 and I was like, 'OK, that's not going to happen.' I definitely did not think she would come today but she did, so we're excited," says Diana.
And Brian is thinking he might have some lottery numbers to play.
"It crossed my mind, maybe," he says. But we think they've already hit the jackpot.
"I hope that her and her sister are going to be best buddies and that she just has a happy life, and I know she will. No matter what her birthday is." says Diana.
Hazel joins her big sister, 2-and-a-half-year-old Ruby in the Viens family.
