Local Catholic Students Witness History As Pope Departs
BOSTON (CBS) - WBZ-TV's Paula Ebben watched Pope Benedict XVI depart the Vatican with some high school students in Boston Thursday.
Theology class turned in to a history lesson for sophomores at St. Joseph Prep in Brighton as they watched the pope they knew, and their church, walk in to the unknown.

They're the future of the church in America, and they want the new pope to understand that this is a turning point.
"If youth dies out of the Catholic Church then the church will slowly be dying, so connect to youth and reach out," said Melahicia Virgili.
Who would they endorse in the conclave? Surely, Cardinal Sean O'Malley would be thrilled to hear it's someone like him.
"He seems like really connected and he's always around and relevant so if he became pope it would be more relevant to me," said Nina Forcelleti.
"He gives basically everyone a chance so he'd have potential as a Pope," said Janyssa Reyes.
The word that came up over and over with the kids was "change" and the desire to have the new pope, whoever he is, connect with young people.
