If pools aren't for you and the ocean's too far of a drive, there's no need to worry. DCR manages more than 50 ponds and freshwater beaches for you to enjoy.Most DCR swimming beaches are open between Memorial Day and Labor Day. During that tiThey offer parking, restroom facilities and regular water quality testing. Many DCR beaches also offer lifeguard services.
