Light Rain Today...Heavier Tomorrow

Areas across Western/Central Mass and Southern NH may run into a few raindrops and snowflakes this morning.  Otherwise, the main shield of rain will make gradual eastward progression through the day.  Highs will reach the lower 40s in many areas today accompanied by an easterly breeze.   As a warm front makes its way northward tonight, winds will shift to the southeast and our temperatures will be *rising*.   The rain will become steadier late tonight. The heaviest rain is expected to fall Friday afternoo ahead and along a cold/occluded front. The rain will taper off early Friday night. Rainfall totals are expected to be .50" or less for the Outer Cape/Islands---.50"-1" for most of Eastern Mass---.75"-1.5" for Central Mass..  A Flood Watch has been issued for Friday.  On Friday, winds will be gusty from the southeast with highs 50-55F.

Weekend Forecast:  Saturday will be partly sunny with a slim chance of a raindrop/snowflake with an upper level trough passing by.  Saturday night thru Sunday morning hold onto the chance of a few rain/snow showers.  Increasing sunshine is expected Sunday. Highs will be in the middle to upper 40s both days.

***Daylight Saving Time begins 2am Sunday. Don't forget to *Spring* those clocks ahead one hour.
