Lester Named Red Sox Opening Day Starter
BOSTON (CBS) - Jon Lester has been named the Red Sox opening day starter.
Lester, who went 19-9 with a 3.25 ERA in 2010, will take the ball when Boston opens the season April 1st in Texas against the defending American League champion Rangers.

So far this spring Lester has made two starts and has not allowed a run in six innings. He has struck out six, allowing five hits and walking one.
Lester has been a workhorse for the Red Sox, hurling over 200 innings in each of the last three seasons. He is 61-25 for his career with an ERA of 3.55.
