Accused Drunk Driver Caught On Camera Crashing Into Telephone Pole

LEBANON, N.H. (CBS) – An accused drunk driver in New Hampshire was caught on cell phone video slamming into a telephone pole.

On Wednesday, Jeffrey Caron crashed on Route 4 in Lebanon while a person in a nearby car recorded video on their cell phone.

Lebanon Police said Caron has been drinking. After being taken to an area hospital, Caron was charged with reckless driving and driving under the influence.

He was released on $10,000 personal recognizance bail.

Caron's passenger, Kellen Fitzgibbon-Bizel, was in possession with prescription drugs that had not been prescribed to him.

He was charged with five counts of possession of a control substance.

Route 4 was shut down for several hours following the crash.
