Lawrence Man Charged With Attempted Murder After Road Rage Incident
TEWKSBURY (CBS) – Police have charged a 23-year-old Lawrence man with attempted murder after a road rage incident Sunday in Tewksbury.
The incident began as the victim was exiting Dunkin Donuts on East Street. Police say Hermenes Rosa came up behind the victims' car, and began driving close to the bumper.
Police say Rosa then continued to follow the victim yelling obscenities until the victim pulled into the State Hospital.
The victim got out of the vehicle and confronted Rosa, who allegedly revved his engine and drove at the victim.
Police say the victim held onto the hood, while Rosa drove a short distance. The victim rolled off the hood landing on the ground feet first. Rosa then allegedly drove again at the victim.
According to police, Rose drove away laughing. He returned to the scene on foot, and was arrested.
Charges against Rosa include armed assault with intent to murder, reckless operation of a motor vehicle, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and assault and battery.
