Last Day of the Atlantic Hurricane Season

It's a mild and rainy start to the last day of November 2011. However, the temperatures will slowly fall through the 50s while sunshine makes a comeback. Winds will be breezy from the west-southwest.  It's going to be a close 2nd, but it's a definite that we will be writing down November 2011 as the 2nd warmest on record behind November of 1975.

Once the sunshine returns today, we CAN get used to it! :)  It will be a sunny and somewhat cooler beginning to the month of December.  Highs will be in the upper 40s to near 50F on Thursday and Friday. Friday will provide a few more clouds and a few snow showers for the mountainous terrain of Upstate NY and Northern New England.

This weekend also looks sunshiny with highs in the 40s on Saturday and back to the 50s on Sunday.  Thank you HIGH PRESSURE! :)

Happy Last Day of the Atlantic Hurricane Season '11!  Good riddance!  Hurricane Irene is the lone storm that made landfall late in August. Otherwise, that was the first storm to make landfall upon the U.S. since 'Ike' in 2008.

Melissa :)
