Bread Sold In Mass. Recalled After Plastic Pieces Found
BURLINGTON, Vt. (CBS) – Nearly 100,000 packages of bread have been recalled after plastic bits were found in the product.
Koffee Kup Bakery said the recall affects about 99,000 packages with "use by" dates of Sept. 30, Oct. 1, Oct. 2 and Oct. 3 of 2016.
The company says a small piece of clear plastic entered the production line and broke apart, causing a choking hazard.
The bread was sold in all six New England states, plus New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia and Washington D.C.
There have not been any reports of injuries. The recalled bread can be returned to stores for a refund.
