Kelly Olynyk A Game-Time Decision For Celtics
BOSTON (CBS) -- Celtics head coach Brad Stevens won't know if he'll have big man Kelly Olynyk for Tuesday night's Game 2 against the Atlanta Hawks until right before tip-off.
Olynyk, who played just 12 minutes in Boston's Game 1 loss on Saturday before leaving with right shoulder soreness, is a game-time decision for Tuesday's game.
"He's going to try to go through [shootaround] and let us know," Stevens told reporters in Atlanta.
"We'll see how it is. See how the strength is and just go test it. See if it's good or not," Olynyk said of his shoulder on Tuesday.
Boston's third-year forward had just two points on 1-for-3 shooting with a rebound and an assist in the C's 102-101 loss in Game 1. He said after the game the soreness he was experience was the same as the soreness that caused him to miss time in the middle of the season.
Olynyk missed practice on both Sunday and Monday in Atlanta. Not having his stretch big man would be another hurdle for Stevens, who already has to figure out a new starting five with Avery Bradley out with a hamstring injury.
