Keller @ Large: Taxes, Economy Dominate GOP Debate
BOSTON (CBS) - Raising taxes and repairing the economy dominated the latest Republican showdown in the race for President.
The polls are saying this is now a two-man race.
It was the seventh GOP debate in the past five months, and for front-runners Mitt Romney and Rick Perry, yet another chance to spar, over Social Security and health care reform.

Mitt Romney said, "There's a Rick Perry out there who says the federal government shouldn't be in the pensions business and that Social Security is unconstitutional and should be returned to the states, so you better find that Rick Perry and get him to stop saying that."
Rick Perry replied, "Your hard copy book you said it was exactly what the American people needed, to have Romney-care given to them as you had in Massachusetts then in your paperback you took that line out, so speaking of not getting it straight in your book sir."
Some claim President Obama has been playing the blame game himself lately, fingering Republicans as the obstacle to economic recovery.
One thing was notably missing from this event. Any sign that a search for common ground might intrude on the campaign histrionics.
