Keller @ Large: Senate President 'Very Worried' About Boston Olympic Bid Funding
BOSTON (CBS) -- The Massachusetts Senate president says the prospect of Boston hosting the 2024 Olympics is exciting, but he's "very worried" that it can't be done without using taxpayer money.
"It would be great if they could come, but we have no public funds to invest in this," Sen. Stan Rosenberg told WBZ-TV political analyst Jon Keller on "Keller At Large."
Rosenberg said lawmakers have settled on a consultant to study Boston 2024's proposal for hosting the games.
"I want us to win, but I'm very worried because I don't know how you get this done without public funds," he said.
Rosenberg also discussed the income tax and MBTA reform with Keller.
