Keller @ Large: Senate President Stan Rosenberg Talks Olympics, Deficit
BOSTON (CBS) -- The new president of the Massachusetts Senate said he wants to bring in experts to make sure Bay State taxpayers are not footing the bill if Boston is chosen to host the Summer Olympics in 2024.
"We need to bring in some expert consultants to help evaluate the proposals," Sen. Stan Rosenberg told WBZ-TV political analyst Jon Keller on Sunday's Keller @ Large. "We need to know in advance and weigh in in advance."
Rosenberg also discussed the state's budget deficit and said he wants to tackle problems with bipartisanship, even though many see him as one of the Massachusetts' most liberal leaders.
"I don't like the labeling, I see myself as pragmatic," Rosenberg said.
