Keller @ Large: Jeb Bush On Terror And Trump
BOSTON (CBS) -- Republican presidential candidate Jeb Bush floated a theory that Donald Trump's goal is to disrupt the Republican Party and ensure a Hilary Clinton win in 2016.
"I don't know how else to describe it," Bush said. "He's motivated for some reason, but he's not motivated to win the presidency."
Bush sat down with WBZ political analyst Jon Keller to discuss his campaign, the threat of terrorism, and, of course, Trump. Bush said it's important to remember that Trump was a Democrat not long ago, and that he has a history of rubbing elbows with Hillary Clinton. He criticized Trump's suggested policies as "unserious."
"He would make it impossible for a Republican to win if he continues down this path," Bush said of Trump. "Look, he's not a serious person, he's not a serious candidate. We're living in serious times and his proposals are completely unserious."
Keller asked Bush what he would do if he was in office right now to protect America against potential homegrown terrorists. Bush said communication between agencies needed to be improved.
"The FBI needs to transform itself culturally to make sure the eyes and ears of law enforcement, after being trained, can help us identify people," said Bush.
