Keith Jardine Let Go by UFC
Former Top 10 Light Heavyweight fighter Keith Jardine is done in the UFC, at least for now. This story was first reported by MMAFighting.com. Jardine was a cast member on The Ultimate Fighter Season 2 and has lost his last 4 fights dropping his overall record to 15-8, his most recent loss was a majority decision to Matt Hamill at the TUF 11 Finale on June, 19th.
Jardine does boast an impressive resume with wins over former champions Forrest Griffin and Chuck Liddell as well as Brandon Vera, Wilson Gouveia, and Mike Whitehead.
To his credit his losses have not come against bums, falling to Wanderlei Silva, Quinton Rampage, Thiago Silva, Ryan Bader, and Matt Hamill. But Jardine is just 2-6 in his last 6 fights and the two wins were both via split decision.
Does "The Dean of Mean" have anything left in the tank. Dana White and the UFC usually do a great job of letting guys go at the right time, they have shown a solid track record in the past. Jardine is still a pretty big name and I would imagine could fight on the main card of Strikeforce right away. A match up with Babalu perhaps?
