Fire Captain Pleads Guilty To Soliciting Prostitute With Department-Issued Phone

KEENE, N.H. (CBS) – A New Hampshire fire captain pleaded guilty to soliciting a prostitute using a department-issued cell phone.

Keene Police arrested a woman on July 7 for placing an advertisement for prostitution on Backpage.com.

During the investigation, police found the woman had been in contact with someone using a phone that was issued by the Keene Fire Department.

Detectives identified the phone's user as Fire Cpt. Robert Diluzio.

On Friday, Diluzio pleaded guilty to prostitution and other related offenses.

He was sentenced to 360 days in jail, suspended for two years for good behavior. Diluzio was also ordered to complete an inpatient sexual recovery treatment program.
