Kalman: Bruins 'Can't Seem To Get On A Roll'
After a big 8-0 home win over the Toronto Maple Leafs on Monday night the Bruins forgot to bring their game with them to San Jose. The Bruins were outplayed by the Sharks only getting 17 shots on goal in the 2-1 loss.
CBS Boston's Matt Kalman spoke with 98.5 The Sports Hub's Ryan Johnston and Mike Flynn about the Bruins loss on the West Coast, the last few games of the season, and the current lack of offense.

The Bruins have had some trouble finding the back of the net on a consistent basis, and only 17 shots on net Thursday night didn't help matters in San Jose. What did Kalman think of the effort against the Sharks?
"It was pretty bad considering a lot of those shots were harmless shots and not a lot of traffic, not a lot of net drive and just not a lot of push from a team that should have been fine, considering they flew cross-country the day before."
Down the stretch the Bruins play a very compact schedule. Even if they make it through this stretch what effect will the last 20 games have on this team?
"Well, it looks like it's going to have a negative impact on them. For most teams that didn't play all the way to June last year, this might be the best way to prepare for the playoffs; by playing so many games and kind of getting on a roll. But they can't seem to get on a roll with this schedule."

There had been so much talk that this team has finally turned the corner, especially after the win against Toronto, but now they follow that up with a pitiful performance. Are the Bruins going to get any better or is this what the team is?
"I think they could get a little better if some guys picked it up, but I think for the most part when they go out there they struggle."
Tim Thomas' play in goal has improved over the past few games, is he finally getting into his groove?
What about Marty Turco? Is the organization feeling better about putting him in for a game or two at the end here?
If you take away the eight goal game against the Leafs the Bruins' offense has been lacking. What does Kalman attribute to the lack of goal scoring?
