Jury Reviewing 240 Pieces Of Evidence In Nate Fujita Murder Trial
WOBURN (CBS) — The first full day of deliberations in the Nate Fujita murder trial ended with no verdict.
The jury of eight men and four women began the day with a request for an inventory of all the evidence that came up during the trial over the murder of 18-year-old Lauren Astley. It's a list of 430 exhibits.

They also got a written transcript of testimony from 33 witnesses who took the stand in the last three weeks.
At issue, whether Fujita was in the throes of a psychotic episode, as his attorney has said. He blames a combination of depression and repeated head injuries from years of Wayland High School football.
Or was it a sadistic rage, as the prosecutor claims, that prompted Fujita to strangle and stab his former high school sweetheart?
The jury is set to continue deliberations Thursday morning. The judge said Thursday's storm could force them to stop earlier than originally planned.
