Juror Questioning In Tsarnaev Trial Could End Next Week
BOSTON (AP) — A court official says the process of questioning potential jurors in the federal trial of Boston Marathon bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev could be wrapped up by the end of next week.
Judge George O'Toole Jr. has questioned 114 people over nine days.
Court Outreach Coordinator Ginny Hurley said Tuesday that despite the cancellation of four days of questioning because of two snowstorms, the process is "progressing satisfactorily."
Hurley says barring more weather delays, it is "reasonable" to think the process may be completed next week.
Tsarnaev is charged in the 2013 attack that killed three people and injured more than 260.
His lawyers have asked three times to move his trial outside Massachusetts because many people here already believe he's guilty. The judge rejected two requests and has not yet ruled on the third.
