Jump In Anti-Semitic Incidents In Mass.
BOSTON (CBS) - Anti-Semitic incidents around the country and in New England are up.
The audit of anti-Semitic incidents, released by the Anti-Defamation League shows a 16-percent jump in such incidents here in Massachusetts.
There are several reasons for the increase says Derrek Shulman, who is regional director of the ADL in New England, but there is one thing that jumps out every year.

Shulman says, "The abuse of the Internet continues to be the chosen vehicle through which anti-Semitism can be extended and penetrating into the mainstream."
The information is all part of the statistics released in the annual audit of anti-Semitic incidents around the country. Nationwide, well over 1,200 incidents of harassment, vandalism and physical assaults were reported.
Elsewhere in New England, only Vermont showed a slight decrease in the number of anti-Semitic incidents.
