Julian Edelman Still Impresses
FOXBORO (CBS) -- After having a very strong pre-season, it seems that Julian Edelman has disappeared from the receiving stat page. Part of the reason is the Pats run a lot of two tight end sets and with Edelman fourth on the wide receiving depth chart, it's hard for him to get out there on the field.
His work has been solid though.
He's been labeled as one of the team's best practice players, he's still out there on special teams and his transition from college quarterback to NFL receiver has impressed everyone.
"He's done an incredible job; there's a lot of learning that needs to take place, especially at this level," he said. "But nobody works harder than Julian. He fits right in with that receiver group of Deion and Wes because they all work so hard and they push each other. He's a great asset to this team and really, I think he's gained a lot of confidence in returning punts; the last couple weeks he's done such a great job of that. You can see that confidence carry over to what he's doing at the receiver position."
