Jones: Would You Rather Have Pablo Sandoval Or Hanley Ramirez?
BOSTON (CBS) - With the free agency period underway, the Major League Baseball hot stove season is in full swing.
The Red Sox are reportedly "all in" on free agent third baseman Pablo Sandoval, the three-time World Series champion for the San Francisco Giants. But other teams feel the same way about Sandoval as the Sox do, so it's important to keep any and every option open.
Enter Hanley Ramirez.
Ramirez -- the former Red Sox prospect traded to the Marlins in a package with Anibal Sanchez for Josh Beckett, Mike Lowell and Guillermo Mota -- is reportedly open to the idea of playing third base or even left field. The Red Sox have shown some interest in Ramirez as well.
