Jones: Patriots, Raiders On Opposite Paths Since Snow Bowl
BOSTON (CBS) - 98.5 The Sports Hub's Adam Jones opened Thursday's show looking back at the fortunes of the Patriots and the Oakland Raiders since the infamous Snow Bowl during the 2001 NFL playoffs.
It was a major turning point for both franchises, and they've been on opposite paths ever since.
"You think back to that game and how long ago it was. The two organizations have really flipped roles. The Patriots were always viewed as a laughingstock and a joke, and they were really, at least until Bill Parcells got here and got things on the right track. Belichick and Brady put things over the top, and it started on the January day in 2002," said Jones.
