John Kerry Dismisses Shoveling Controversy
BOSTON (CBS) - Secretary of State John Kerry is responding to his fine for failing to clear snow outside his home.
Kerry was fined $50 on Thursday because snow was still piled up outside his Beacon Hill house days after the blizzard.
The secretary of state was in Saudi Arabia during the storm and by the time shovelers arrived, he had already received the fine.
Kerry dismissed the controversy outside his home Friday night when a reporter asked him if he had anything to say about it.
"Absolutely nothing," Kerry responded. "I think we dealt with it yesterday. Thank you. We're here welcoming people for an important conversation. I'm glad you think so too."
Kerry was having dinner with the foreign ministers from Canada and Mexico.
