John Farrell On Gresh & Zo: Jackie Bradley Jr. Not Expected To Break Camp With Team
BOSTON (CBS) - Gresh, McAdam and Shaughnessy were joined by Red Sox Manager John Farrell Tuesday afternoon delving into the Sox spring training thus far.
Farrell got into the teams pitching depth, how the WBC is affecting the team, and whether or not top prospect Jackie Bradley Jr. will make the team out of spring training.
Team's are well into spring training now and players are getting more and more ready for the start of the season. Where are the Sox in terms of Farrell's plan for this team moving forward? Is the manager seeing what he needed to see so far this spring training?
"Through this point in camp I'd say yes and going back to looking at a rotation, getting those guys on track, Doubront made his first start yesterday, so we've gotten our five projected starters to the mound."
They went on to discuss the poor season Jon Lester and Clay Buchholz had last year. Hopes were that Farrell would be able to correct the problems with the starting pitchers. Is he seeing improvement with the starters in camp?
They also went on to discuss the position players and what his offensively philosophy will be this season?
