John Connolly Leads Marty Walsh In New Boston Mayor's Race Poll
BOSTON (CBS) – A new poll in the Boston mayor's race has City Councilor John Connolly leading state Rep. Marty Walsh by seven points.
The Suffolk University-Boston Herald poll shows Connolly ahead of Walsh 41-to-34 percent in a survey of 600 likely voters conducted last week. The margin of error is plus or minus four percent.

Walsh said he's encouraged by these numbers, but David Paleologos, the head of Suffolk's Political Research Center, says Walsh could have his work cut out for him among newer voters.
"If you look at the people who didn't vote in September, but who are likely to vote in November, Connolly's leading by 18-percent," Paleologos told WBZ NewsRadio 1030 Monday.
With the November 5 election still weeks away, 23-percent are still undecided.
You can watch the first live televised debate in the race on Tuesday, October 15 from 7 to 8 p.m.
