Jim Nantz On Gresh & Zo: Is Brady Slowing Down?
The Patriots are getting ready to host Andrew Luck and the Indianapolis Colts at Gillette Stadium this weekend.
Jim Nantz will have the call on CBS this weekend, and joined Gresh & Zo to discuss the new era in Indianapolis, as well as the future of Tom Brady.
Luck is having a stellar rookie campaign and has the Colts at 6-3; right in the thick of the playoff picture. What has Nantz seen from the young QB?
"First off, you can just tell this is a franchise player," said Nantz. "It doesn't take two plays before you realize the kid has something special."
Nantz feels that with Luck running the offense, the Colts are going to be good for a long time and odds are he'll be a legendary quarterback.
The guys moved to to talk about Tom Brady. Gresh mentioned that after Sunday's tough win over the Bills, the post game show received calls saying that Brady was losing it. With a number-one pick walking into Gillette on Sunday, there are people in New England who are dealing with the mortality issues of how much has left for Brady.
Nantz doesn't think it's an issue at all.
"I don't see any signs right now that he's slowing down," Nantz said. "It's nonsense for anybody to be feeling the pressure. I know he's been around the league since 2000 and he's accomplished so much, but tell me something that Tom's doing right now that tells anybody that he's slowing down."
Plus, with the way things are going for other teams in the league are things lining up in a positive way for the Patriots to make another Super Bowl run?
