Report: Jason Terry Agrees To Deal With Celtics
BOSTON (CBS) - The Boston Celtics have reached a multi-year deal with Mavericks free-agent guard Jason Terry, according to Marc Spears of Yahoo! Sports.
Spears is reporting Terry will likely a three-year deal worth the full mid-level exception (roughly $5 million annually). No deals can become official until July 11.

Terry would help the Celtics replace the shooting of Ray Allen, who will begin visiting other teams later this week, should he decide to leave town. However, in a story on Yahoo! Sports on Sunday, head coach Doc Rivers said we would like to have both Allen and Terry next season.
Either way, "The Jet" would provide an offensive spark for Boston; as a starter or off the bench.
Terry, the 2009 Sixth Man of The Year Award Winner, shot 43-percent from the floor last season and 38-percent from beyond the arc. He averaged 15.1 points per game, knocking down 2.2 three pointers per contest in 2012. Allen led the Celtics with 1.6 three-pointers made per game last season.

Terry, who will turn 35 before the start of the season, is another veteran added to a veteran team. The Celtics have already put off the full-fledged rebuilding process with the reported signing of Kevin Garnett, so another veteran, especially a shooter, in the mix goes a long way to further strengthening their depth.
