Jason Varitek To Make First Start Of 2011
BOSTON (CBS) - Jason Varitek will make his first start for Red Sox in 2011 Wednesday night.
Varitek will start at catcher and bat eighth when Boston takes on the Cleveland Indians in game two of a three game series.

Jarrod Saltalamachhia started the first four games behind the plate for Boston, going 1-for-11 with an RBI.

Varitek played in 39 games in 2010, hitting .232 with seven home runs and 16 RBIs. The 38-year-old backstop has been with the Red Sox since 1997, and has served as captain since 2005.
