Jake Peavy's Duck Boat En Route To Alabama Home

BOSTON (CBS) ---- Red Sox pitcher Jake Peavy's duck boat is on its way to his Alabama home.

Peavy purchased the "Charlie River" for $75,000 during the Red Sox World Championship parade.

After the parade, Peavy tweeted a picture of his purchase and said "this is our ducking city."

Of course, the tweet made reference to David Ortiz's F-bomb-laced statement at Fenway in the days after the Boston Marathon bombings.

Stripped of the Boston Duck Tour logos, the green boat was pulled on a flatbed truck and spotted on Interstate 93 in Dorchester.

Peavy has said his Southwestern Alabama ranch on the banks of the Alabama river, with several lakes nearby, is perfect for a Duck Boat.
