J.D. Drew To Be Placed On DL; Jon Lester To Be Activated
BOSTON (CBS) - The Red Sox will place right fielder J.D. Drew on the 15-day disabled list on Monday with an impingement in his left shoulder, sources told WBZ-TV's Dan Roche.
The move will make room for lefty Jon Lester to be activated off the DL for his start against Kansas City.
Drew is in the midst of his worst season with the Red Sox. He's hitting just .219 with 4 HRs and 21 RBI in 233 at bats.
Drew's replacement, Josh Reddick, has hit .358 with 4 HRs and 19 RBI in just 95 at bats.
