I-Team: Former Boston Police Union President Pat Rose Arrested On Child Rape Charges
BOSTON (CBS) – Former Boston Police Patrolmen's Association President Pat Rose has been arrested on child rape charges, sources tell the WBZ-TV I-Team.
Rose was arrested Wednesday by State Police on multiple charges in connection with rape of a child, according to sources. The charges include indecent assault and battery on a child under 14.
In a statement, to WBZ, Boston Mayor Marty Walsh said, "I am deeply disturbed by these horrific allegations, which must be investigated to the fullest extent of the law."
Rose was the union president from 2014 until 2018. He retired from the Boston Police Department in 2018.
He is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday in West Roxbury court.
