IRS To Return $2.6 Million In Undelivered Checks To Mass. Taxpayers
BOSTON (CBS) - Did you get a tax refund this year?
If not, it may be lost in the mail.
The Internal Revenue Service announced Wednesday that it is looking to return more than $2.6 million in undelivered tax refund checks to 1,729 Massachusetts taxpayers.
The IRS says mailing address errors kept the checks from being delivered.
If you believe your refund check may have been returned to the IRS, use the "Where's My Refund?" tool on IRS.gov.
It will provide the status of your refund and, in some cases, instructions on how to resolve delivery problems.
