Investigation Ongoing Into Cause Of Crash That Killed Plymouth Officer
The State Police accident reconstruction team is looking for a cause along Samoset Road, where Maloney fell off his bike before it crashed a quarter-mile away. The father of two was riding with his partner at the time.
Plymouth Chief Michael Botieri says it doesn't appear that the bikes touched and there's no obvious reason for the accident.
Maloney was flown to Mass General before he died of his injuries. In Boston, fellow officers lined the streets as Plymouth's force came to pay their respects.
Maloney joined the motorcycle unit in 2009. Funeral arrangements have not yet been announced.
