Inside BC Football: A Special Senior Day For Addazio Family
BOSTON (CBS) -- Saturday afternoon will be a very special day for Boston College head coach Steve Addazio and his family.
Saturday is Senior Day at Alumni Stadium, as the Eagles will play their final home game of the season against ACC foe NC State.
"It's a day that you honor the guys that have been here for four or five years. They're playing their last home game, and all of us that have played know how emotional that is," Addazio told Levan Reid on WBZ-TV's Inside Boston College Football. "It hits you that this is really it down the home stretch. It's the last time you put a uniform on in the home stadium. It's an emotional day for the players and the parents."
Included among the seniors is Addazio's son Louie, who transferred to Boston College in 2013. He is the youngest of Addazio's three children, making Saturday even more special for the Eagles' head coach.
"Life goes by so quick. When you're with your kids and they're playing sports, everything goes by so fast. That's what strikes you as parents, you say 'Where'd it all go?' Yesterday they were six years old, my wife was going to all the games, and all of a sudden 'Boom!' [Louie] is our last in terms of in the house, so to speak. It's nostalgic."
