NH Couple Injured On Canada Vacation Headed To Boston For Treatment
BOSTON (CBS) -- A New Hampshire couple seriously injured in a motorcycle crash while visiting Canada are headed to Boston to continue their recovery.
Molly McCoy, from Hampton, NH and Ben Cole, from Raymond, NH, were vacationing in Nova Scotia when their motorcycle collided with an SUV, according to the couple's GoFundMe page.
They spent nearly a week at Queen Elizabeth II Hospital in Halifax.
"Ben and Molly's family and friends would like to transport the two to Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston to receive specialized care for their extensive injuries," they wrote on their page. "Unfortunately, these injuries can only be stabilized by the use of fixed wing aircraft transportation."
More than $31,000 has been raised through their page, which was set up by the couple's family and friends. The funds will help pay for their medical flight to Brigham and Women's. They are scheduled to fly out on Tuesday.
"Ben and Molly are both improving steadily and are taking their first steps on the long road to a full recovery," they wrote.
