Mother, Son Shot At Worcester Apartment Complex
WORCESTER (CBS) – A mother and her child were wounded in a shooting in Worcester Monday night.
A source says the 28-year-old woman and her two-year-old son were shot in a car at the Plumley Village apartment complex.
The child was shot in the shoulder. Both victims are expected to survive.
Several kids were playing outside when shots were fired.
A suspect was being questioned by police.
Worcester City Manager Edward Augustus Jr. said he was outraged by the shooting.
"The perpetrators have demonstrated an appalling disregard for human life, and the City of Worcester and the Worcester Police Department pledge to work tirelessly to bring them to justice," Augustus Jr. said in a public statement.
