In Honor of Mother's Day - Moms Head to Washington for a Good Cause
April 26, 2014
To some mothers, this coming Mother's Day will not be about them, it will be about something they consider to be a much greater cause! On Wednesday May 7th, mothers from around the country will head to Washington DC to deliver postcards, urging President Obama to stop deportations. They also plan to visit legislators. This is part of the "Mr. President, Use The Power of The Pen" national campaign, created by the National Alliance of Latin American and Caribbean Communities (NALACC). On this edition of Centro, WBZ's Yadires Nova-Salcedo talks about this latest effort with Patricia Montes, Executive Director the local non-profit organization of "Centro Presente". Tune in!
