Important Dates During Patriots Training Camp, Preseason
BOSTON (CBS) – Football season is just around the corner, as the New England Patriots kick off their 54th Training Camp this week at Gillette Stadium.

But practices and podium visits aren't all the next month will offer for the Patriots and their fans. Here are some key dates surrounding Patriots Training Camp:
Wednesday, July 24: Patriots head coach Bill Belichick will address the media at 1:45 p.m. -- the first time since the arrest of Aaron Hernandez.

Thursday, July 25: Players report to camp and 2012-13 team captains – Tom Brady, Logan Mankins, Jerod Mayo, Devin McCourty, Matthew Slater and Vince Wilfork – are expected to be made available to the at approximately 11:00 a.m..
Friday, July 26: The first practice of camp begins at 9 a.m. and is open to the public.
Friday, July 26-28 and Tuesday, August 13-14: Fans can join UnitedHealthcare at the Patriots Fan Zone to train like the team.
Saturday, July 27 and Sunday, July 28: Practice at 9 a.m., open to the public.
Monday, July 29: Patriots Hall of Fame induction ceremony for Tedy Bruschi and Gil Santos at 5 p.m. outside the Hall at Patriot Place.

Monday, July 29: Annual in-stadium practice for season-ticket holders at 6:30 p.m. (tickets required).
Tuesday, July 30: Practice at 1:30 p.m., open to public.
Wednesday, July 31: First scheduled off day of training camp.
Tuesday, August 6: Patriots travel to Philadelphia for joint practices with the Eagles on August 6, 7.
Friday, August 9: First game of the preseason -- Patriots at Eagles, 7:30 p.m. at Lincoln Financial Field.
Tuesday, August 13 and Wednesday, August 14: Patriots host joint practice with Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Gillette Stadium. Both sessions are open to the public (time of practice sessions TBD).
Friday, August 16: First preseason game at Gillette – Buccaneers at Patriots, 8:00 p.m..

Tuesday, August 27: Rosters must be cut-down to maximum of 75 players.
Saturday, August 31: Rosters must be cut-down to maximum of 53 players.
