I-Team Update: AG Crackdown On Mini Casinos
BOSTON (CBS) - The Attorney General is cracking down on those mini-casinos that have been popping up all over the state.
It's a story the I-Team told you about in March.
The businesses call themselves "sweepstakes" and say they are selling internet time.
But the I-Team found customers spending hours playing video slots and poker games and winning real cash.
On Thursday, State Police raided four locations across the state. No charges have been filed but the Attorney General wants to know if illegal gaming is taking place.
Thursday's raids did not include locations the I-Team visited in Lynnfield and Revere.
