Hyatt Harborside Grill Wins 'Best Chowder In Boston' Honor
BOSTON (CBS) -- Hyatt Harborside Grill was chosen by popular vote as "Best Chowder in Boston" during Sunday's Chowderfest at City Hall Plaza, according to Boston Harborfest.
Anthem Kitchen + Bar finished in second place and Wyndham Beacon Hill placed third.
Despite Sunday's sweltering temperatures, thousands of hearty chowder lovers attended the 32nd Annual Chowderfest in the heart of downtown Boston.
Among the attendees was Boston Mayor Tom Menino, who conducted a sampling of all of the hot chowder featured at the event.
Other participants included Ipswich Clambake Company, Marriot's Waterline and The Chart House.
Chowderfest marks the end of the 32nd Annual Boston Harborfest, a six-day festival honoring U.S. history, as well as the historical and maritime heritage of the city of Boston.
