Hull Schools Closed, Residents Conserving Water After Major Sewer Leak
HULL (CBS) - School was closed and residents of Hull were being asked to watch the water they use Thursday after a major malfunction at the town's waste water treatment plant.
Town Manager Philip Lemnios told WBZ NewsRadio 1030's Karen Twomey that they believe a broken pipe may be allowing seawater to flow into their system.

"With all the rain as well as the fact we are at sea level, there could be seawater infiltrating into the system," Lemnios said. "We're trying to identify the exact location for that kind of activity."
The town sent out a reverse 911 call Thursday morning telling residents that school was canceled and asking them to conserve water.
Lemnios said drinking water has not been effected by the leak.
Town officials say fixing the problem may take a while.
