Hot Days Ahead

The heat and humidity will be on the rise as we end out the week and head into this mid-July weekend.

Today will be another summer beauty. The only minor caveat will be the high clouds blowing across Southeastern Massachusetts.  A calm morning breeze will lead to a light east-southeast wind this afternoon. Highs will be nearing 90F away from the coast while the beaches and close-to-coast communities will top off in the upper 70s to lower 80s.

Friday will be a little hotter and a little more humid. Highs will be around 90F inland...80s coast.

This weekend will be the end result of a rebounding stationary front that has been hovering to the south of us this week. Saturday still looks dry although I do expect more clouds than Friday, especially during the latter half of the day.  It will be a hot and steamy day as highs reach the lower 90s for interior locales.  Then, Sunday will be mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and storms, mainly during the afternoon. Highs will still be in the upper 80s to near 90F.  If it turns out to be sunnier, the high temps will easily surpass the 90F mark in many backyards.  We surely need the rain since we've only had one measureable day of rainfall so far this month.

The heat will continue to grip New England into the middle part of next week.

One alarm clock away...

~Melissa :)
