Police Search For Second Home Invasion Suspect In Newton
NEWTON (CBS) – One man has been arrested after an armed home invasion on Falmouth Road in Newton Friday afternoon.
Police say the men were wearing ski masks and were armed with a large knife.
There were two people in the home at the time. "They tried to break in and do a home invasion, it was terrifying," said the man who did not want to be identified. "They tried to grab me, it was a very bad situation."
Police officers from Newton and Waltham searched the area and found one suspect a few streets away. That suspect is a 26-year-old Newton man.
Police are still looking for a second suspect described as a tall, thin African-American man.
The victim says no one was hurt and nothing was stolen from the home.
A police source says there were no drugs found in the home that was targeted.
