Home Depot To Hire 1,200 In Boston Area
BOSTON (CBS/AP) - Home Depot plans to hire more than 60,000 seasonal workers nationwide this spring to help with its busiest time of the year.
1,200 of those jobs will be in the Boston area, according to northeast division spokeswoman Jen King.
"The primary role of these associates is to free up our regular associates to wait on customers, but they will go through orientation that is extremely focused on customer service," King said in a statement to WBZ-TV.
Anyone can apply online or at any Home Depot.
Consumers typically head to home improvement stores in the spring to pick up flowers, vegetables and lawn care products as they prepare for the summer.
Home Depot's Spring Black Friday promotion, which will occur over four different weekends, will be rolled out in various markets and timed to weather conditions.
